The talent called "Hunting Party" is the most important talent for any survival specced Hunter. This talent turns a Survival Hunter into a "Mana-battery", increasing the mana regeneration for the whole group or raid. Any raid group needs to have at least two of those mana-batteries, making a survival Hunter a welcome addition to any group. A Survival Hunter provides more that this very important buff though: she deals a good amount of damage as well. Especially the ultimate talent, Explosive Shot, delivers some big hits and turns the Survival Hunter into a capable DPS source. The Survival Hunter can be played in different ways though. You can try to stay at range with your increased ranged from the Hawk Eye talent, or you can "trap-dance" to trigger the "Lock and Load" talent. This talent allows the Survival hunter to fire 3 Explosive Shots in rapid succession without a cooldown, providing some serious burst damage.

The fact that the Hunter is able to improve his traps with his Survival talents makes this talent tree a viable alternative in PvP as well. Combined with the famous "Scatter Shot", an attack that disorients an enemy target for the short amount of time, and "Improved Wing Clip", which immobilizes the enemy, the Survival Hunter is a formidable PvP opponent.
