WoW Hunter Marksmanship

A Hunter specializing in Marksmanship talents is foremost interested in dealing out high damage with his bow, crossbow or gun. With her "Trueshot Aura" a Marksmanship Hunter has a nice group buff at her disposal, increasing the attack power of anyone affected by it by 10%. Naturally this buff is more powerful the more attack power the affected players have. The lack of this buff can be noticed when looking at the raid damage. While other classes can provide this buff as well, the Hunter has the most reliable version of this buff and should never be missing from a raidgroup.

The ultimate talent in the tree, the Chimera Shot, is one of the most used attacks of a Marksman Hunter. Not only does this shot deal a huge amount of damage, it also increases the duration of the Hunter's Serpent Sting, which means that the Hunter does not have to refresh that shot all the time. This saves mana and frees up time for other attacks. Other talents in the Marksmanship tree improve the Hunter's Multi shot, which hits up to three targets. Unfortunately this shot is only worth it if you hit exactly three targets. If there are more targets available then Volley is the superior choice for AoE damage. If there is only two targets then the ideal solution is to split up your damage between those two, using single target attacks.
