Beast Mastery WoW Hunter

The Beast Mastery talent tree contains many talents that improve the Hunter's companions. This allows the pet to dish out almost as much damage as the Hunter herself in a boss-fight. The downside of that is the reliance on the pet. Several fights can be considered "not pet-friendly", which really hurts the Beast Mastery Hunter's damage output. Many talents increase the pet's resilience and enable the Hunter to quickly heal and, if needed, resurrect her pet, and enable her to send the pet into the fray again. These talents are important, as several of the Hunter's skills only work if the pet is alive, as, for example, the signature Beast Mastery ability "Bestial Wrath" which is combined with "The Beast Within". This ability turns the Hunter and her pet big and red, a known and feared sight in the battlegrounds. This ability has its uses in raid dungeons as well, as it greatly increases the damage done by the Hunter and her pet, especially as you can reduce its cooldown with talents and glyphs.

Another interesting aspect of the Beast Mastery talent tree is the ultimate talent called "Beast Mastery". This talent enables the hunter to tame so called "exotic" beasts and gives her four additional pet talent points to improve her pet's abilities. Pet talents were introduced with Wrath of the Lich King and and are available to pets above level 20 for every four levels. Thus a normal Hunter would only have 16 talent points at max level.

Molten Core Core Hounds are one of the exotic beast that can be tamed with this skill. Un'goro Devilsaurs are another. These exotic pets have some special abilities and, most of all, provide an impressive sight.
